Re: what track bar
I like the Super Track Bar from ECE, (Early Classic Enterprises).
It's extra long to limit lateral axle movement. They also come powdercoated. Check out www.earlyclassic.com.

Re: what track bar
I installed the rearend centered at ride height.
The Super Track bar is much longer than the original panhard bar,... and should help with side-to-side movement. I think mine only shift 3/8" when I air out the bags.

Re: what track bar
I beleive your looking to adjust at a happy medium between your lowest drop point adjust to clear and as close to center ( wheels in fenders) at your ride height.

Re: what track bar
Well yes, that's the secret ingredient. Look at real world trucks with suspension modifications and see just how many of them actually have the track bar horizontal at ride height. Once you get away from horizontal, the amount of lateral displacement starts increasing quite rapidly.

Re: what track bar
Here is one for $59 bucks!
Early Classics P/N 912-6572PB Adjustable panhard bar kit '65-'72 C-10 w/Bushings http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog.aspx Under "Choose Catagory" Select "Panhard Bars" And one other note: For a "Static" dropped truck you do not need a "Super Track Bar", there simply isn't enough suspension travel to justify it. You just need an adjustable track bar to dial the rear end back over to the center. Hope this helps. Last edited by lakeroadster; 01-20-2011 at 09:07 AM. |

Re: what track bar
I'm having a difficult time finding the trailing arm kit that uses the trailing arm for the lower mounting bracket for a 3/4 ton truck. Lots of kits for 3" axles, but can't find one for 3-3/8" axle tube.
The inner diameter of my u-bolt is 3-1/2"

Re: what track bar
Are you wanting to mount your panhard bar to the passenger side trailing arm mount?

Re: what track bar
Not necassarily.
I've seen posts by you where you suggest just cutting the panhard bracket off the Eaton. That was my plan all along. I have a local spring guy that will be making my new U-Bolts for $17.50 ea. Both sides bolts, nuts, and washers for $35. I was going to wait until I got your perches before I get them. But I started thinking about maybe just getting the adjustable panhard/trackbar kit where you get the u-bolts and all. - just researching - that's all. I just find it interesting that the 3/4 ton stuff is so limited. Even the U-bolts aren't as easily found as for the 1/2 ton trucks. LMC is the only one I've found so far that actually lists 3-1/2" u-bolts for C20's Like I said, I'll most likely just cut the panhard bracket off the eaton, I just started thinking if there was a kit, that even included the u-bolts, it may save me some work.

Re: what track bar
Yes I understand the desire to just buy a kit with everything needed. But as you said, there really isn't a kit for the C20's. Especially not for switching to a 14 bolt rear differential.

Re: what track bar
It's a definite possibility.
I know someone that can make the trailing arm mounts
