static drops and oil pans
Any of you guys running around a 4" drop with the stock truck oil pan.
My pan is sticking about 2" below the front crossmember and with just a 2" drop or so I don't think it would not be a problem but with the 4" things might get tricky. I did a search but all I could find was bagged trucks that were even lower than mine. Just wanted some info before I spend some cash on a f-body pan. Thanks!

Re: static drops and oil pans
What truck? I had a to use an f-body pan on my bagged '50. I wouldn't want the oil pan any lower than the front crossmember no matter what. There are a couple other solutions besides f-body but it definitely is the most shallow of the stock wet-sump pans. The GMPP conversion pan for one, Cadillac CTS-V, GTO, Vette...
