New to the site and here are my rides!

Hey all!
My name is Chris I live here in Montana and here are my two trucks!
One is my 79 4x4 chevy, has a 350 with new edelbrock intake, and many other new parts! Brand new warn hubs, clutch, u joints basically EVERY running part is new! I paid $400 for the truck, painted it myself, added the wheels and tires, spend $2500 in new driving parts and there she is!

The other is my brand new 86 chevy 2wd. I purchased it to swap the body onto my 79, but i would rather turn the 86 into a nice little street hot rod truck! The black one has dual tanks, a newer 350 and a bad 700r4 trans, bought the truck for $650!

I am excited to be a member of the board and plan to spend alot of time here!
Thanks and nice to meet you all!

Digging the blue!

Sounds like the '86 could use a manual conversion.

I don't know vintage wheels very well, but they look like Ansen wheels. I'd wait for someone else to confirm, or correct me on that.

Nice trucks and welcome to the board! One thing, on your 79 you might get the braces for the hood if you haven't already. They will help keep the hood from buckling in the center.

Looks like it might already be too late. That's OK, Topher, they all do that. Lube the hinges real good and it may prevent it from becoming worse. Dieselwrencher is right also, get some good bracing under it.

Re: New to the site and here are my rides!

hey guys,
the 79 is far too late for the hood... before i "painted" it i hoped on the hood to make it flatter to fit better :P a new hood and fenders are in the works someday... at least all the mechanicals are perfect!

The 2wd I have no clue what the wheels are, whatever the typical 5 hole hot rod wheel typically is called... the 2wd has no lift.. its actually fairly tall in my opnion, but with the wheel and tire size i love the stance of it
