Transmission Crossmember Template
Does anyone have a template for the transmission mount for a tubular crossmember? I am thinking of somekind of universal mount. I mostly need the spacing for the 2 hole mounts. Here is a picture of the transmission crossmember I made.

Re: Transmission Crossmember Template
Wouldn't you just use the transmission mount as a template. Get transmission and engine in the frame with intake level at ride stance, put the transmission mount on the tranny and make a piece of plate for the holes. Put your tub mount where you want it and make a cardboard template to fill in the gap, if there is any, between the tube and plate for the mount. I assume you are going to weld on side plated to bolt to the side of the frame? The process described above is how I modified and fit mine.

Re: Transmission Crossmember Template
I am going to use a th-400 but don't have it yet. If I had it i would definetly just get a cardboard template made and no big deal. Hard to do when you don't have the tranny yet. LOL! That is why I was asking for help.

Re: Transmission Crossmember Template
Mike I would wait until you have the transmission and engine in the truck. OrrieG is telling you the way to do this. Mockup is everything, and its hard to mockup things with out the actual parts. It can be done but its more of a chore.
