Common rust areas? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have A 69 CST/10 long bed, what are the common areas for rust?
I have some small areas that have rust, above the windshield, truck bed and some surface areas in some spots. The bed has the worst of it that I know of, two 3 inch holes at the end of the bed.

Rockers, cab corners, front fender lips....basically the low spots where water/moisture settles

And, even though they provided drip holes, they were too small, and so easily plug up. So now the moisture just sits there and feeds the rust.

A local boardmember recently went to pull a MINT 67 front pass fender from a yard here...and then found a rag that had been shoved inside the lip

You can guess what that did to it.

rust above the windshield can be very serious though... check out my "flip that truck or else" project.... This was caused by an antenna hole in the roof.
