Rear brakes locking up too early.
I just fixed my brakes by replacing the master cylinder, a caliper, a wheel cylinder, and a hose, but now I have a new problem.
My rear brakes are locking up too early. Is my proportioning valve bad or can an air bubble in a front brake cause this. I'll admit that I ran out of daylight and didn't finish bleeding the front left as well as I could have.

Re: Rear brakes locking up too early.
I'd go with air in the lines

Re: Rear brakes locking up too early.
It could be air in the lines or the rear brakes adjusted too tight. Try gravity bleeding the brakes then a manual bleed then try it again.

If the brake shoes are soaked with brake fluid from that wheel cylinder you replaced they will lock up when you hit the brakes.

Re: Rear brakes locking up too early.
Air in the lines. My older brother went through this a few years back. Replaced his front brakes and master cylinder and that happened. He replaced the entire brake system except the hard lines to the rear before he figured out it was air.

Happened to me once, it was pretty darn scary on the highway when the one rear wheel locked up and howling as it was dragging at 55mph.
