Re: 61 c10 Frontend
Are you sure you have a 61? Did you cross check the vin to make sure?

Re: 61 c10 Frontend
61's did not come original with coil springs. 60-62's came with torsion bar front ends. Your truck may have been converted.

Re: 61 c10 Frontend
Thanks for all the info, it still has drum brakes so im guessing it would be safe to order parts for a 63-72

Re: 61 c10 Frontend
Any pics of the truck?
Someone may have switched the numbers and title.

Re: 61 c10 Frontend
That's exactly what happened. It's a '63.

Re: 61 c10 Frontend
I agree.
The grill is a '63 The fender emblems are '63 The hood is the '62-'66 And the front suspension is coil spring Does it have mechanical clutch operation or is it hydraulic?

Re: 61 c10 Frontend
another difference would be the frame itself. the 60-62 frame should look like this:
with a big X in the middle. the later frames don't have this X frame width is also different, at the rear, the frame rails on the 63-66 are 34 inches, outside to outside, the 60-62's are 42 inches.
