Re: brake kits

Everything you would need is available from a local parts store, as long as you want to have rear drum brakes. What year is your truck

Re: brake kits

Shoes for the rear are very inexpensive at the parts stores.

Re: brake kits

autozone/advance/orielly/napa, etc.
- stuff for our squares are cheeeeeep.

turn the drums if they have some meat left,
or they are 42.00 each
shoes set is are 20.00
wheel cylinders 9.00 each
a full hardware kit (all springs, hold downs, etc ) is
8.00 each side.
replace the rubber hose on the rear end too.
14.00
take the adjusters apart, wire wheel, and lube em up and for about
150.00 or less, you are all set in the rear
-
while you are at it:
front rotors are 30 each
calipers are 13.00 each (after core)
pads are 22
front hoses are 17.00 each
throw in a set of new wheel bearings 14 each side and seals 3.00 each

174.00 and the front is set.

for just over 300 you are good for safe daily driving
(assuming the master is good... they are cheep too, so.... while your at it....)

Good luck.
note; above pricing from autozone.

Re: brake kits

I have all of the old parts from my 10 bolt rear... if you made the trip to houston, you can have it all. Backing plate to drum, shoes from memory are in good. Even the backing plates are laying around. I converted to C-5 rear brakes.
