Manifold problem

Slight problem with my factory exhaust manifolds. They hit my motor stands. I am using my stock 6 cyl engine stands with adapter plates. The manifolds hit the stans on both sides. What will fit? Headers are out of my budget. F body, TBSS? Thanks

I was going to look for some SS manifolds as well, my pass side truck manifold hits the perch and the flange rubs the frame.

They are are kind of hard to come by from where I am brousing around, uness you buy new ones which I think Dorman makes too. They are over $150 each though, I wonder if I can use just the pass side and use the truck manifold for the drivers? Humm.

I found mine on ebay by searching for "v8 blazer manifold" paid about 125 dollars a pair shipped.

Just got some on TBSSowners for $60 shipped. There is another set on there for $70 Shipped if anyone needs them.

Bad news, Got the TBSS manifolds today......no go. They still hit the frame stand. A little bit closer, but still not going to bolt in.

Yep, stock 6 cyl stands. Right now I'm trying to decide if I can make enough clearance with grinding both the manifold and the stand or if I should just buy some POL tubular stands.

I should have stated before that I used the '73-up perches and mounts. They don't bolt in but was an easy mod for the height difference in frame rails of the 67-72 and 73-87. I had to use the tbss manifolds and the 73-87 motor mounts. I apologize for not providing all the information.

those manifolds are pretty thick....doesn't look like you need much off of them?

I used 6 Cylinder Stands originally, I couldnt get Truck Manifolds, or F body manifolds to fit at all without cutting and griding on the engine stands. I've since removed them for v8 stands because I didnt like how far back the motor sits with the 6 cylinder stands.
