66 spid info???
I am wondering if anyone has a link or list for the SPID's on '66 trucks. Are they the same as '67-'72's? I have searched, the only real info I find is for '67-'72 or newer SPID's. My SPID sheet is toast and want to recreate the original.

Re: 66 spid info???
I dont think the 60-66 had SPIDs, I thought they only had the tag on the DS kick panel that gave colors and GVWR and stuff.
I could be wrong.

Were they on the glove box lid like the 67-72's are?

Re: 66 spid info???
Jeff, i new you had compiled a very good list of 67-72 rpo's but what knowledge do you have of the 66 rpo codes? and how many are carried over to 67? in other words what codes came to be or changed in 67? or does anyone know?

Re: 66 spid info???
my 66 has one, albeit rather spare on the listed options. (see photo)
Also, check post #70 in the following thread for another possible source. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...37#post4338637 By the way, does anybody know what the Z20CA "engine conversion" means on my SPID? - it came with a 250 6cyl which was standard in 66, so ?? ....Sorry, hope I don't jack your thread. |

Re: 66 spid info???
New anti smog laws in California in '66 forced a few changes to pickups sold there. Most all 1/2 tons had to have air pumps with air tubing into exhaust manifolds and air breather oil caps had to be replaced with closed oil caps.
