What's the best disc brake set-up for my budget?

I'm trying to figure out if selling my 6-piston 14"/2-piston 12" Baer brake set-up is worth selling to get cheaper brakes. I kind of ran out of money and don't really want to get rid of the brake cuz they look so good.. Is there any set-up I can get for around $1,500 to $2,000, even just 12" rotors, but maybe still slotted and drilled, with 2-4 piston calipers. I looked around on ebay and Summit, most kits are close to $2,000 for the front, and only about $700-800 for the rear. Of course these are some of the nicer, but I don't want to go too plane.

I've even heard about using C6 calipers on a Silverado SS I used to have.. not sure if this would come out any better like this or what I would have to go through.

Any ideas for a decent brake set-up that doesn't just look totally plain are greatly appreciated!

Looks like a Mcgauy's front and rear with 13" cross-drilled rotors would be $1,700. Any reviews on this kit?

The mcgaughys are a pretty good deal for the money and they look great. You should be able to get the front and rear drilled for less than $1,500. Check with some of the vendors on the board. Also stylintrucks is a good place to look.

Waste of time if your looking for a reasonable priced 13" kit. The Mcgaughys is the best bang for the buck.

How do they perform, besides looks. Are they at least comparable in braking to some of the later model chevys? Looks like the front is a 2-piston caliper and the rear a 1-piston.. Looks a little small.
