craigslist saves the day

well ive been searching for a harmonic balancer for the original 230 out of my 65 shortbox for months now, i finally decided to post a wanted ad on craigslist and not even an hour later i get a call from a guy who has an entire motor hell deliver for $100, the only harmonic balancers ive found were on ebay for close to 150 plus whatever shipping would be, the motor was supposedly a runner when he bought it but he never did anything with it, he covered it up and sat it in the corner of the garage where its been sitting for about 10 years, now i just have to sit back and wait for the call when hes ready to load it up and bring it this way, sure a smallblock is easier to find parts for but i love my lil 6 cylinders, plus im sure ill be happier when it comes time to fill the tank

nice score!

I found a set of 99 BMW M3 seats on CL today for free. Fully electric and adjustable. Now to figure out how to bolt them in the 66!

A harmonic balancer off a small block will fit if you cut 1/4" off the snout that goes on the crankshaft. Course that means alot of other stuff would have to be changed and aligned as well.
