Re: finally running!!

yes it what i beieve is a low hump truck (verification anyone)... the PO had already cut a hole for the 3spd that was in it.... then i made a dumb cut thinking i was going to use the orig. shifter just turned around (see t5 conversion thread) but wound up with a really soild feeling aftermarket unit that doesnt correct for the 18 deg angle in the camaro application.

yeah you got a low hump cab. Though with where your shifter is it doesn't really matter much, and to be honest it'll look better as a low hump IMHO. If you wanted to get crazy and make a nice center console you could very easily do so and have a good bit of storage in it.

...crap now you're giving ME ideas....

screw that man...you can make a custom one out of MDF and fiberglass rather easily and make it to suit your needs rather than try to find one that, 1.) fits and 2.) has what you want in it.

If i was going to be using bucket seats in my truck I'd ditch the in cab tank and build a sub box back there (1 8" behind the passenger seat would be all I'd want), amp rack, and storage compartment. I'd have it mate up to a center console that would have a padded leather armrest with storage under it, 2 cup holders, and another small storage spot infront of the cupholders. On the sides I'd have map pockets. Paint it up with the color of your choice and call it good.
