help with rear end choice
what type of rear end would be best to put in my 1985 chevy long wheel base . it has original rear end but want posi rear . has a 350 4bolt main with 350 tranny . any suggestions

You've prob got a stock 10-bolt. It's a good enough axle for what you have. Just put in the ratio you want & add some kind of Posi set-up if it's in your budget. Other than that just change the fluid & replace the axle shaft seals & you'll be good!

If it was me I'd use the original 10 bolt but add a posi out of a 8.5 10 bolt car such as a Caprice or 70's Camaro. They are a lot better than the gov-lock that was offered from the factory in a 85 1/2 ton.
