What are these screws for?

I'm getting ready to put some carpet down and I discovered some 7/16th head sheet metal screws two each side by side in 3 different places a total of 6 screws. They don't go to anything I'm aware of except maybe to hold down a lug wrench or jack handle. There not going to hurt anything cause they will be under the carpet under the seat. Just curious what there were for, there is a holder for a jack so I'm assuming maybe they have something to do with that. As you can see they don't go to anything under the floor pan. Pics not the best thanks ...Vernski

hello vernski, you are right they were for the jack, lugwrench, and of course the jack handle.i sold a complete bracket set and springs for one a while back.it was good that when they removed the hardware at least they put the original screws back in the floor.

Re: What are these screws for?

You know, when I redid my cab, I found a lot of pairs of holes like that and wondered what they were for. I just filled them all in.

Re: What are these screws for?

My very favorite is a "Torano Exodus Silver Chruchill 7 x 50".

http://torano.com/toranobrands/exodussilver

BUT since you're buying, surprized me. you pick one hows that? BTW would you want me to paint the brackets semi-gloss black, I don't mind, take but just a minute, I've already have them self etched primed in storage.

Send back you mailing address so I can box them up. Also use USPS not UPS, they won't deliver without signature (I put in a claim against them and they are mad at me).

Re: What are these screws for?

Man, would I like to find a set of jack brackets/spring for my truck. Patience in finding a set is making me older by the day.

Thanks for any leads.
