Summer heat.. Custom a/c

As i figured, it's getting pretty hot here in Texas. And it is not even summer yet. I have a dash out of an a/c truck that's in great condition. I also have the ducting and the control unit. There is a a/c bracket for sale on ebay for 135 bucks (I have the integral 250 straight six) that I'm considering getting. Should that work fine? He does not really give an exact compressor to use. What all else will i need? I have a few other a/c components.

Okay, so taking a second look at the ebay listing, he does specifiy a type of compressor.

Sandens are small and bulletproof. Should work nicely. Other A/C components dont really tell us what you have. Your going to need a condenser, evaporator, receiver dryer, hoses and fittings, ect.

My Truck originally had factory AC, I wonder how much it would end up costing to make it work again

Depends on how much of the original system you still have and how much of the work you can do yourself. The components aren't that expensive or difficult to replace, it just has to be vacuumed out and recharged when it's all back together. Lots of online help, just google "auto air conditioning".

The hose's should not be an issue. I have the reciever dryer, but not the evaporator or the condinsor.
