Solid back glass
Were can I get a one piece back glass for a 79 at a good price and were they wont charge me a ton to ship it?

If it's the stock type glass your best bet would probably be a local glass shop, no shipping.

Exactly, call some glass shops and get prices for 'carry out' and installed. You might decide it is cheap enough to have them put it in real fast for you as well. If you don't know of any glass shops, call a few local body shops and find out who does their glass work. Most will pass along the info gladly.

Local junkyards for glass. It takes 10 minutes to pull one out and reinstall it. I switched my 76 from a sliding rear window to a solid rear window. Before that, I have never taken a window out and installed one.

ya junk years work thats is where i got mine, just use the old rope trick and have a partner and its not that bad

Someday I will replace my stock back glass with a factory deep tinted glass, like the new vehicles with privacy glass. The stick on window tint causes the window to reflect back at you, especially at night, and I do not like that. In AZ, you must have tint on your windows or you will bake to death.
