There is a guy who sells them on ebay. They are original gauges that have been refaced.

I have it done at a local shop in Escondido, California called Sanchez Polishing. The owners are Robert and Maria. They have been doing polish and chrome work for me for years.

These were all the Pot Metal parts I had for the first batch. They cost the most because of pitting repairs and polishing. He takes his time with the application of the copper and polish over and over till they are perfect and ready for the Nickle and Triple Chrome.

The gauge surround was $175.00, the Horn Parts were $160.00 and the visors were $35.00 each.

Thanks!

Yes, it is a truck Vac Gauge that is an original gauge. They bolt right in the stock cluster.

There is a guy that refaces them and sells them on e-bay. They are a little on the pricey side for his.

You can find the Vac Gauges in the big trucks from 60-66.

The big trucks also have the Air Pressure Gauges that can be used when doing the air bags to show your tank pressure. If I build a 2WD truck on Bags I will use the Air Pressure Gauge in the same cluster.

First, EXCELLENT looking work. So it looks REALLY good close up?

Finding a truly good and reliable plater these days is difficult I've heard. I'm in Pasadena - which is "L.A." to non California guys. Escondido is a bit north of San Diego -far from Pasadena, but when I need plating I'll seriously consider them. Probably worth the trip!

I am in Carlsbad on the coast so it is a 20-25 minute ride. I went through alot of different polishers before I found them. I am a bit anal on the details. These are all original parts.

He is chrome plating my Modified '66 Grill for me now. I have a few more small parts there now like the door strikers, door latches, hood hinges and hinge springs. Just some small accents with the chrome. It is much easier to take care of then polished parts.

Re: Some Parts Back From Chrome Plating

I keep hearing an original grill - in my case a '55 grill - is a lot better than any repro chromed grill. Heavier guage, better fitting. I'm wondering if you think they'd redo my original grill for the same or less than the $400 a repro costs?

It usually cost close to just getting a repop. The difference is in the quality of the original parts over all the repops.

He has small tanks so he cant dip the big stuff. He preps everything and then goes to a drifferent place to do all the tanks. His tanks are the size to do a motorcycle wheel for reference.

They are family owned and operated. They take pride in their work.

Thanks Leftcoast. I keep a contact list of shops/places that other guys say positive things about and they're going on that list!

They do great work! Like I posted earlier, I went through every other polisher in the area before I found them. I am a bit of a perfectionist and can be a little hard to please.

The chrome guage cluster will look so nice with the factory chrome glovebox trim on your custom. Nice touch.

Re: Some Parts Back From Chrome Plating

Thanks! It actually looks even better in person then the pictures. It is so shiney that it is hard to take a picture of. I had to hold a sheet of rice paper in front of the flash to soften it.
