What caliper do I have?! Have #.
I've had the brake line off and showed parts stores and Oreillys for one isn't educated on many things. I need to know what I have so I have brakes to enjoy the truck. I can't drive until I get hoses and calipers. I originally had a hose pinched at a tire shop, they made a mistake and when I aired out and back up I had no brakes. I never found a hose so I blocked one side off and had one front brake. The trucks parked but since I need a hose I'll do calipers and better lines to the calipers. I ran several years and everything parts stores have brought out with a lot different. I have one off, by the way large wheels make it easier since I can pull them with the wheel on lol.
Caliper says this on the front like I typed. DELCO 6471 MORAINE 172 Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
I can take a pic if needed, if it gets this thing rolling. Need a idea of what I have or what I need to buy. I have 73-87 3in Belltech spindles and ECE 6lug conversion rotors. Can I buy 73-87 brakes, hoses, and calipers?

Yes, buy the brake parts for the year range on the spindles. 73-87 spindles = 73-87 rotors, calipers, & brake hoses. The only difference in your case is the rotors are ECE's 6-lug conversion rotor.

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
i used 73+ rotors pads and calipers on mine too. the passenger side hose bolts right to the original hard line. the driver side should need an adapter fitting to make them work. i ordered mine from speedway motors. the hoses are a little longer but work, you will also have to drill a hole on the upper control arm to bolt the hose bracket to. let me see if i can find the thread where i posted the fitting size on..

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
Well, I'll get my brakes, pads, and calipers asap. Sucks we have to order the little fitting. Thanks a lot for the help guys! The fitting size also helped bunches! $5.99 plus $9 shipping! High but o well, guess I'll only need it once for this truck lol.

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
There's a Napa a couple blocks from my house so it's worth a shot but they aren't the smartest there lol. I'm in no real hurry, the truck just sits in my garage lol.

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
Update: Napa couldn't find that adapter. I did take a caliper down there(drivers side), and it showed to be 87-88 1/2 ton Chevy. The hose also showed 3/8, so if these are correct to the hard line and the calipers correct then I have the new calipers already and hopefully I won't need that special order 3/8-7/16 adapter. If so I'll have the right parts tomorrow to do my brakes.

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
'78 C-10 hoses and calipers were all direct bolt on to my '67. I don't need the fitting.

Re: What caliper do I have?! Have #.
hmm, thats odd. are both your hard lines the same size thread? mine were different, thats how i knew i would need an adapter on the driver side.
