Smile New guy from Australia

Hi To all

I am new to the site & to Chev trucks. I have just purchased a 67 truck which has been imported to Aus a few years ago & appears to have been built from bits.

The Vin on the cab matches the paper work but the chassis no. is different I think it may be a later model, it has been modified & painted here (so I'm told) it has a short chassis 114" wheel base with leaf sprung rear & runs a 350ci engine with turbo 700 auto. the pick up tub is a long wheel base item that has been shortened in front of & behind the wheel arches.

The truck was bought as a shop truck for my Tyre Service & I am in the process of fixing a few things so that I can get it registered here in NSW, it will stay left hand drive.

We are located in Nowra on Australia's east coast approximately 2 hours drive south of Sydney (hence the tag SoS). I am on older guy of 54 & have been interested in modified cars since I was a kid. I hold no automotive predjudices & currently have in my garage as well as the C10 a 1970 Dodge Challenger a 1935 Ford 5 window coupe (hot rod under construction) & a 1970 Valiant Pacer (Australian car). I have had Fords, Holdens, Chevs, Mopars, Datsuns, Jags & some others I've forgotten over the years & all of them have had good & bad points.

I'm hoping to find some assistance from the good folk on this site to help with questions on the truck from time to time.

cheers
SoS (Richard)
