Pedal to floor but no power?
So, my dad has an 08 Suburban 5.3 4x4 that I've been driving a bit lately and I noticed something. Sometimes when I go to floor it or otherwise accelerate hard I don't get any power, just slowly climbs up to speed when you expected to get thrown back in your seat, and if you let off and hit it again it will give you the power you expect from flooring it. I asked my dad and he says the same happens to him sometimes. Seems like maybe the tranny isn't shifting properly...Anybody else have this problem? Opinions?

Re: Pedal to floor but no power?
our 07 1500 4.8 did something similar.pedal to the metal and it just creeped along, low rpm barely gaining speed.but easing on the gas to get speed it would go.
it was a messed up fuel filter lol
