47-53 Door hinge springs

Does anyone have a pic of how the door springs are supposed to be installed?

I have a broken one that fell out while I was removing the doors. The new ones I ordered don't look like the old one and I'm not sure how the heck they are supposed to go on

These are the best ones I could find.

Re: 47-53 Door hinge springs

I could post some pics but they would not be any better than what Bernie posted. He has the right idea with the new pin kit. If your hinge pins are fairly tight, you can just install the new pin by drilling to the new pin size. If they are really sloppy, drill out for the bushings. This info is with the kit. At least that's how mine was. You do have to remove the pin to install the springs so best to do the pin kit while you're there. Once its apart, it will make sense on how to get it all back together,

Having rebuilt mine, I didn't realize there were two springs on each side. I guess that is why I have extra springs.........................
