I know its a noob question, but what is the amount of coolant I need for the '66 c10 panel with a 283. No a/c; yes heater; manual transmission.

Re: coolant volume?

2-3 gallons plus some water if it is completely empty.

Re: coolant volume?

A 2 or 3 row radiator will make a difference also.

I would get 2 gals of straight antifreeze and pour in one gal of AF and one H2O, then 1/2 gal AF and 1/2 gal H2O and see where you are at.
