62-66 side moldings
I am working on my new cab, doors, fenders, etc.... (I am sure you get the idea). I am planning on adding the chrome side molding to my truck. I have not yet ordered the kit. Neither my truck nor any of my parts trucks had this molding or the holes for it. Who has added this kit to their truck? Do the kits come with installation instructions, diagrams? Or can someone tell me the location of this. I want to get the location right and paint the area between a different color.

Re: 62-66 side moldings
I replaced the fenders on my 66 with new and there were no holes drilled. Like a fool I had already tosssed the old ones, but was able to find a old truck in the salvage yard to get the measurements from. Took lots of picts with tape measure in photos to guy doing the paint and he drilled them.

Re: 62-66 side moldings
I measured off my old fenders onto the new ones. If you mount your door to the cab and mount the fender and adjust the gap between the door and fender you can use a string along the lines you'll mark for the door and transfer this straight line onto the fenders.
