i am getting ready to tear the 73 down to the frame and was just wondering how far to tear it down? do I stop at just taking everything off that is bolted on or should i take it completely down rivets and all and bolt it back together? what have y'all done? and pictures please if you have them.

I think most take it down to the frame rails but dont bust any rivets. disassemble the font suspension and take the cradle out, remove all springs and such from rear, give it a real good power wash ( the blaster will like you for that) blast it and the powder coat.

They bake them at 600 degrees, so no wires, rubber, bondo...

And note that any threaded holes you have you may want to thread a bolt into them before hand or run a tap through them afterwards before you start bolting things back up. Otherwise have fun getting the bolts back in there.
