66 long bed
well ive been lurking on here for a while and ive finally decided to post. my name is nathan and im 20 yrs old and my first old truck is this 66 chevy long bed. 230 straight 6 3 on the tree 4.11 gears. when i first got the truck it had a horrible oil leak, pan gasket was shot. changed it out and got it to stop leaking. next agenda was to paint the wheels add baby moons and change the smashed up front fender. truck is fairly solid for the year needs inner fenders minimal floor board work cab corners and maybe cab mounts. got some new doors tht needs bottom inners and bottom outter skins but are straight as an arrow. also got a new grille and passenger fender. ive also took and converted it to hei.; used a distributor outta a 72-74 nova. next on the list to do quick is put the dual resivor master cylinder i bought on it. its for a 67 chevy truck but i belive i can make it work. im doing all the work myself and also funding the whole project. its taking a lil longer but when its done itll be just a lil sweeter. well enough with the novel heres some pictures
when i first got it and as of now |

Welcome to the forum Nathan
Good looking truck! It's great to see someone your age taking an interest in some old iron. Keep it up, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Re: 66 long bed
Im third owner it was a local farm truck bought over somewhere in evansville. Guy i bought it from said the old man tht had it used it on the farm till bout 02 n parked it. Then the truck sat for a while and the old man got it running again and sold it. Thts all i kno about it. Odometer says 38000 and some change so mileage may be correct i dont know tht for a fact though
