Rubber Body Mounts?
What is the recommend torque for the rubber body mounts? Do you crank them all the way down? It seems to me that the center sleeve keeps them from over tightening, is this correct? Eventually I'll replace these for poly's but need to straighten the tub and top to replace rockers.

Re: Rubber Body Mounts?
If Yes then there is no torque spec. The key with Poly is do not over tighten or squeese Poly. If you do it bids up the matieral and won't flex. The key is to you a nylon locking nut and get the mont nice and snugg but not to the point the mount starts to buldge.
What I would do is tighten untill you see the mount buldge then back it off until the buldge sucks back in. This is how I did mine back in 94ish adn they are still there just fine. The nylon lock nuts work great. |
