A big window '63 stepside with a nice aluminum grille, rebuilt brakes, and decent body with nice patina for what's he's asking ($2500) is pretty much in line for what a '63 goes for out here. To bad he says that he's firm on the price, because I'd shoot him a $2100 offer if I was hot for that truck.

But......pictures don't always tell the true story. I've looked at dozens of Craigslist vehicles in person, and some looked much nicer and others looked waaaay worse when you took a good close look at them. Everybody has a much different interpretation of what "nice", "solid", and "clean" is! I could write a book on some of the "beautys" I've looked at.....

seems to me by the time you get it road ready it will be another 1500 at least .. I have learned the hard way to "try" and estimate the final cost,usually to the detriment of my wallet ....
