pics please!
Im looking to compile some pics of AD frames z'd with different types of suspension set ups, front and rear. I've got a 52 cab and I just got a frame to go with it. I want it real low without air bags. I'm thinking about a transverse leaf out back with a four link. And maybe elliptical leaf up front. I'm not running a bed or front fenders so its all gonna be exposed. Any ideas would be great. I want to use the frame but I may just end up building a new one.

Re: pics please!
Yeah, it might be. I really want a traditional look though. Since it won't be hauling anything I might be able to run softer springs. Just kicking around some ideas for now. I could really use some pics and dimensions if anyone has done something similar.

Re: pics please!
How 'bout a short video? Not sure how low you want the rear. This is as low as I want to go. Its a C notched frame with TCI leafs and 4" lowering blocks. The front needs to come down another inch yet. Maybe this winter...

Re: pics please!
Thanx
3" x 3" x 3/16" I made the top mount crossbar with 3 locations so I could change how stiff the rear is. I still have more work to do.... like boxing the frame, and lowering the rear..... as far as rear suspension goes..... I'll drop it another 4 inches or so (Already dropped 5-6" by putting the rear shackle above the frame) Keeping her a static drop for now, at least over winter, but setting it up in a way that it will be easy to 4 link and bag it later if I want. Oh, and the entire point here on mine is a daily driver, so she'll be on the road from here out as she progresses. Last edited by Intimidator; 09-21-2011 at 02:29 PM. |
