80 Cab on an 86 4wd frame
I'm sure this has been asked before but the floor pans look obviously different between the 2 and 4wd drive. I cut the hump out of the 4wd in case I needed it, but hoping I won't be. Obviously I have to cut hole for the 4wd shifter as well. 80 cab is pretty flat with a small lip in the center. Thought they just made 1 cab for all models?

Re: 80 Cab on an 86 4wd frame
Here is a link from another forum that shows quite a few different humps.
http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/sm...c,11838.0.html Sounds like with yours you are either going to change the hump or run a body lift to make the cab clear the transfercase. |

Re: 80 Cab on an 86 4wd frame
the difference is the humps and they can be interchanged as long as you use the proper hump

Re: 80 Cab on an 86 4wd frame
Thx, guys,....thx Bob! Seems like you're always there for a response when I have a question. Much appreciated....If I can NOT weld, than its a goal...but looks like I may not be able to avoid this one. I hate body lifts...so trashy.....oops did I say that out loud? lol.

I hate body lifts too but if you can't weld you could always pay someone to do it for you,Or use panel adhesive to glue it down and seam sealer the joints it should be fine.
