Z question

2 questions for you Z'd guys.

1. Considering the motor and trans will essentially be higher than the rest of the frame after a z, what mods to the tranny crossmember are required, if any?

2. How much modification to the cab is required with 2 1/2" or 3" z? any?

Thanks BROS!

Re: Z question

The tranny will need to go up the same amount as the motor.
2.5" Z will require you to raise the transmission the same amount.
(2.5")

Some people use the larger 4x4 high hump floor pans.
This will allow you to run stock oem style carpet or floor mat.
But I doubt it's enough to work for that tall of a "Z".
Most likely you will need to add a tunnel for the driveshaft also.

If the drivetrain can be shifted forward some, it can help w/cab clearance issues. Too much though & it will create core support clearance issues....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
