lwb tp swb back bumper
i just took 14'' put of the middle now if i take 6'' out of the back will i be able to put a bumper back on it look it wont, its almost to the back hanger of the leaf spring can some one help me out on this has anyone put a bumper back on after cutting 6'' off the back of the frame

I read in an article of a ccsb build that they only cut 3in off the rear of the frame.

If you have the longer springs there will only be about 2 inches of frame left but brackets should fit once new holes are located,,, Got any pics of your mods??

ok guys i took 3" off the back and the bed fits perfect and ill have room for a back bumper ill post pics tomorrow ....

73-87 trucks are longer than the earlier models. In 1973 they went to a wheel base of 131.5 for the longbeds and 117.5 for the shortbeds.
