X2, not uncomon at all if you take a lot of short trips. check it again next time you go for a long drive.

Re: What is this smurrie in my oilcap?

What the %^#$* is a "smurrie"?
Can you catch it from being with an unclean woman?
Can you feed it to your dog?
Does it sell by the pound or is it a volume sale commodity?
Does it have a shelf life?
Inquiring minds want to know!!!

What you have under your oil fill cap is an oil/water mix, generally caused by condensation. As long as your dipstick doesn't show it, your radiator stays full and oil looks good at change time, don't worry about it.

Re: What is this smurrie in my oilcap?

That smurie may be a blown head gasket but I'm leaning with the others that it being just condensation form not driving enough. Throw $20 at the fuel tank and go for a Sunday drive.

BTW: Smurrie is on the stock exhange and the stocks are doing quite well

Re: What is this smurrie in my oilcap?

also caused by intake sweating especially aluminum ones, due to the intake cooling dow faster and engine staying warm, much like fogy windows inside the cab
