Hi guys,

Does anyone monitor their iat's? I normally see 95-125 degrees while driving around. I would like to get some feed back from you guys.

I've watched on my TBSS some....in the heat of the summer I'd see numbers well over 100*. I opened up one little more area behind the CAI feed in the headlight to allow more air to feed in to the airbox...dropped the temps by 15-20*.

I don't think so but I'll look. If I don't find any...there's a wright up on a TrailBlazer SS site listed below. A TBSS has a cold air feed in for the air box in the middle of the headlight where the grill normally crosses thru on a non-SS TrailBlazer.

Thanks for pics. Does rain effect this mod at all? I'm trying to come up with something for my 70 chevy with the 5.3.

nope. no problems with mine, running a K&N tho. I suppose a paper filter might possibly get damp occasionally.

I dont monitor mine except when I have HP tuner's plugged into my car. I put mine right behind my left headlight on my Nova. It got up to 120 on very bad days. If I would have built a little box around it or made whole in the liner it could have helpd out more..

Your intake look good. Where did you get the straight pipe in the intake track? Is that pipe plastic?

Ha Thanks

I got most of the bends from a hose place online and a freind got me the stainless pipe. The elbows are a thick molded hose where as the straights were much like a turbo hose.
