is this a good cam for rebuild???
is this a good cam for my truck its a 81 c10 and the motor is a 98 vortec motor..... all stock

its a cruise around truck and i am puting a rpm intake with 600 cfm carb

Yes, that one should work just fine. Although, you don't have to use a EFI friendly cam since you are converting to a carb. I don't think you'll get the sound you are after from this cam.

Yeah I wasn't to set on a muscle car sound right now....just some good usable horsepower .... I don't know how much a stock set of vortec heads can handle was my only concern

That cam would be safe on stock vortecs. General rule is to stay below .480 lift as a max. I have seen some heads only be able to handle as low as .450 lift. Its kind of up in the air but in general no more than .480 lift is a safe limit. That cam wont sound really radical but will make good power on the low and mid range.

Just a thought , if staying mild on the cam why not run a factory Z28 cam . 94-96 F-body LT1 . They are like 204/208 450/460 This might save some money for you unless you need a fuel pump lobe on the cam .
