Front Bumper Guards

I was talking Chevy trucks with an older fella yesterday. He told me that back in the 60s they used to call front bumper guards a set of titties. I've never heard them called that. Said everyone had to have a set of titties on their truck.

Re: Front Bumper Guards

I've never heard them called that either, but in the 50’s and 60’s front bumper bullets found on everything from 57 Chevys to Cadillacs were always referred to as Dagmars by the elder generation of car guys. The term was in honor of an actress that shared similar design features. Her history is found on Wikipedia.
