85 chevy c10 5 speed
I was wondering if there were any 5 speeds that bolt up to a 350 in a 85 c10 or need just a little work to fit

Re: 85 chevy c10 5 speed
The stock 4.3L v6 NV3500 will take 300ft/lbs. A stock 350 is nowhere near that. They're cheap and plentiful. Just stay away from the early lookalikes. The HM290 & 5LM60 have input bearing issues.
The S/T gearboxes are longer and have closer automotive gear ratios. The C/K gearboxes have a lower wider spaced first and second gear, more like truck trannys, and shorter tailshaft. |

If you need the correct pedals for this set up, I've got the correct ones for a hyd. set up from an '85. I was going to 4 spd mine and changed my mind. I also have a flywheel for a 11-12" clutch for an SBC. PM me if interested.
