oem computer made to stand alone for trans?
I have read where someone used the factory computer to work with ls engine carb setup. He used it for firing the coils instead of the msd box firing them. I am wondering if anyone has ever used the factory computer to work the transmission only? It would be a lot cheaper to buy the ls computer to work my 4l60e in my old project than to buy the tci stand alone. Any ideas ?

I want to say no due to the lack of a TPS for kick down, but I've been wrong before.

It can be done, but I can't recall with what PCM, although I think it was an older one from a diesel to run a 4l80e.

Thats good to know that it has been done. I figured somebody broke like me found a way around the 800 tci part. Thanks for the replies.
