Best Options

Hey guys, getting ready to start the frame off to my 72 c10 longbed. Been doing lots of reading on this forum and i was just wondering which lsx motor/automatic trans is the easiest swap with minimal fabrications since i will be doing most of the work myself in my first complete frame off restoration and money of course is always an issue lol.

Re: Best Options

all of them (4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2) have all the same physical dimensions when looking at the short block.
5.3/4l60es are everywhere there for the cheaper route as a starting point for the motor/trans.
From there it all is the same $$ and starts adding up quickly.
