FREE rims in Sacramento, Ca.

I have read the rules regarding being a paying member for buying and selling and I think I am OK with posting these wheels for free. Mods if I am not, I am sorry and please remove.

I have removed the 17" split rims from my 1966 GMC. They have tires on them. They have clips for hubcaps but no hubcaps. They have old tires on them.

I have posted these on the GMC list but no takers. If anyone would like these you need to pick them up in Sacramento, CA ASAP.

Normally I keep stuff that I take off that is original but I'm not interested in re-using or storing these rims. I hate to just take them to the dump but if I have to, so be it.

FREE. PM with your phone number if you want them.

Thanks.

Honestly you can take the center out of the rims and use them on a non split rim so you have the best of both world stock rims with clips and non split rims.
I would like to see a pic of the rims.

Tire size is 17x7.5.

I do not have the time, skill, inclination or money to modify these original rims. I went with some late '80's Chevy 16" steel wheels which would look alot like these if I wanted to paint them.

Also, I do not want to ship these for any price. Local pickup only. Thanks.

not sure what you mean by "taking the center out" ?

but i know some out back 4x4 type guys still like these split rims ... because it they are caught out in boonies and have a flat its a easy task - if you have the know how - to get the tire off and on a split rim.

maybe list em on a local 4x4 site if you have no takers here.

How soon do you need to get rid of these? I'll have a friend up there next weekend. I can't use them, but I'd like to keep them "in house" in case any forum members end up needing some.

If they aren't gone by next weekend you can have them. But I'd really like them out of here ASAP. They are just too big for me to store.

I moved this to the parts board. Since you are giving these away for free, there is no problem advertising them. Nice gesture and I hope someone can use them.
