brake booster ( this a dumb idea?)
I have a orginal brake booster from a 70 C10 and tried cleaning it up be to get it to look like I want I need to media blast it, I have front holes sealed tight and tin foil around back ith zip ties. So would I be a fool to media blast it and reuse it? If not can some give me better ideas for blasting it. Figured worth asking before I made a stupid move. Brandon

I blast them all the time. About the only thing I would do different with your idea is to put a rubber glove on the back and tape it up with duck tape. the blaster will blow right through the foil in a second.

Re: brake booster ( this a dumb idea?)
sounds like a plan what are you using to blaster your boosters with (media type). What if a very minor bit gets in? Aslo tried removing parts that pivot but they seem to not wanna come out is this normal?

Re: brake booster ( this a dumb idea?)
I use 80 grit garnet in my cabinet. if some media gets inside you can open up all the holes on the front then use a little air to flush it out.. the only part that does not come apart is the rod sticking out of the back of the booster itself, all the rest should come apart.
