Wiper Motor: What Does It Fit?

I got this wiper motor with my '55 Chev truck (uninstalled) and it doesn't fit. I thought I'd post these pics over here to see if anyone can identify it for me.

It's got 3 wires, so it appears to be a 2-speed unit. It bolted up to the underside of my dash but not to the firewall.

Thanks in Advance!

To the best of my knowledge it doesn't fit the 60-66 body style either. There are two designs on the 60-66. One lays parallel to the firewall, and the later version points towards the seat. Both have somewhat large rectangular motors. Neither of them look like the unit in your pictures.

Re: Wiper Motor: What Does It Fit?

62 is a bastard version of the parallel to firewall type. has no extra brkt welded on inside of firewall, and no one has them! I have 2 of the parallel style rebuilt that might fit yours if you can dig up a picture for me. or take a pic under your dash.

thanks, dthela, but I have found a motor and transmissions for my '55. I was just curious about the one that didn't fit. I've had two people tell me it's a '58-'59, but 1963c-10 posted a different motor above. I'm inclined to believe there may have been a couple of versions, considering the number of plants. I also have info now that mine fits a '58 big car, and a '59-'61 power tailgate window in the wagons. I guess that about closes the issue for me. Thanks to all,
