Another truck to the collection...
Like the title says, I have added another truck to the collection. I saw on a local classified ad that a guy had a 61 Apache 10 factory four wheel drive so I gave him a call and went to look at it since I had nothing else to do. In the ad he said the body was rough and he was not kidding, it is rough but it is an all original 61 with the big 6 and 100% factory drivetrain. The guy I bought it from said his grandpa bought it brand new and has been in the family its whole life and the only thing to be redone is the carb. It does run and drive and have the original rims on it yet. He said make him an offer to get out of his yard so I said $200 cash and he said when can ya pick her up? I will b picking it up either this weekend or next week and post some pictures. Couldnt pass the deal up for an complete factory four wheel drive like this.

Re: Another truck to the collection...
Also had a question about the front wheels. The two front tires are shot and to make it easier to load, I was wondering if 2 wheels from a 63 C10 would go on it to help load it.

Re: Another truck to the collection...
They sure would help to load it. LOL The bolt pattern is the same as well as the center bore.
You must be happy with your purchase, can't wait to see ALL the pictures. |

Re: Another truck to the collection...
Well make that 2 more to the collection haha I was on our classified site again and saw that someone had a 66 K20 for sale. No motor or tranny, but comes with 2 automatics (no clue what they are) and the hood. Has an aluminum grille with factory power brakes. Not in bad shape. He is moving so he was selling it so he didnt have to take it with him. Has clear title and only took a $200 offer for him to sell it to me, even though I wasnt expecting him to take it LOL but oh well it doesnt eat so it wont cost me anything while it waits its turn. Let me know what you all think. I will be picking up my 61 K10 this weekend and will have pictures if it too. These are the ones I have of the 3/4 ton.

Re: Another truck to the collection...
Picked up the 3/4 ton today. It was actually a 2 wheel drive from factory that someone put some 4 wheel drive under. But the pictures i posted earlier were the one on the ad and the first time i looked at it in person was when I picked it up. Well it was a factory automatic with deluxe steering wheel. Still has the trans-cooler and whatnot. Passenger fender was replaced at one point and it in great shape. Cab is in great shape as well a lot better then what I had expected. Not a bad parts truck but the home made lift kit is something else haha. I will post more pictures as i get them. I may be picking up the half ton tomorrow...not sure yet.
