stock 10 ohm speaker
Have searched high and low for a "stock" 10 ohm speaker for a 65 chevy truck. Does anyone know a source?

Re: stock 10 ohm speaker
Check out this place. I bought a speaker from them, and it works great. They are called SM Electro Tech. Just give them a call, and they can help you out with finding the correct speaker. They had great customer service.

Re: stock 10 ohm speaker
This is what the speaker mount looks like. This one is on ebay right now...not mine. But it'll give you a reference of what it looks like.

Re: stock 10 ohm speaker
Checked with them and it was "a no go"... 64, 65 and 66 speakers are unique to this truck. No one seems to be reproducing them... I oredered something close and will try to adapt the old mount to fit.

Re: stock 10 ohm speaker
I'd ask this guy - if he doesn't have it, he probably knows where you can find it.

Re: stock 10 ohm speaker
I found an old 65 speaker and had a shop called Heavy Sound re-cone the stock speaker and it sounds and works perfectly with my factory AM radio.
