Burning smell !!

Well I got in to go to Home Deposit and started smelling something burning from under the dash. Bet I got that dash bezel off in record time. Traced it to the ac control assy. Toasted ! The switch for the ac, heat bi level ect was blistered and smoking ! Well time for an order from Cheyene pick up parts. Need that and pull strap and strap caps while I'm at it plus a wiper module. One good things about these trucks they are easy to fix. After that my water heater in the house rusted through and flooded three rooms. DOH !!!

Hell last month my two week old new roof that I paid for got wiped out by hail. Not to mention my gutters, patio cover and carport. ( Made big bucks off that deal and insurance. )

I experienced the burning smell a few times in my truck but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as yours...it turns out the mouse nest in my heater went up in flame, it scared me at first but when it started belching these weird little pieces of singed fuzz out the vents I knew what it was. I hope the mouse had as good of insurance as you!

Something about heaters and mouse I guess! I found a nice little nest in my new cab. Oh yeah, and there was also a mouse still in there. Guess he got stuck and starved to death.

Sorry to hear about the problems Paul! I'm kinda having the same luck also. On top of my truck's carb giving me fits, my main sewer line at my house clogged last night!
