Memorial to fallen trucks

I just wanted to start a thread in memory of the trucks we've lost over the years I have three I'll try to find pics and post them later



My 78 custom deluxe, was forced to crush it due to not being able to get a title



My 85 silverado swb lost to for because the guy I had replace the tranny was a dumb$&@ and didn't slide the torque converter in far enough and the trans fluid poured on the exhaust


And finally my 83 custom deluxe my old work truck, after replacing both fenders wheels tires and buying a new bed grille and new bumpers I was in a head on collision at 55 mph which made it almost unsalvagable

Noone else? I know my trucks become like family to me all the memories and time spent on em, l miss every one I've ever had and wish I could rebuild every one of them but time and money won't allow

My first square was a 78 GMC 1/2 ton swb, it met its demise when a lady pulled out in front of me in a T-bird, she got T-boned. I bought a 74 Chevy 1/2 ton swb body, installed motor, tranny, rear end, bed, and interior from the 78. Unfortunatly I destoyed this one by drinking and driving. 85mph mixed with a 25mph curve and a ditch=this. At least it was a one truck accident.

I had a '67 snb, small back window truck at 16 yrs old. 8s and 10s. Traded my dirt bike for a motor only to find out when I got it home it was out of a vette, what a bummer LoL. Everyone in school knew me/truck for all my burn outs leaving school every day. One day I found foam in the radiator and decided to sell it (for $500 bucks). Sometimes I still kick my own ars for that one. She was fast!

This was my 4th squarebody, 77 GMC 454/TH400. I got married and need more room for the kids so I traded it off for an excab. If I could get a do over I would have bought a topper and mounted a bench seat in the bed. (pics are a little rough, old poloroids)

I had a '70 C-10 that carried me to work everyday, carried my wife to the hospital to have our daughter, carried ME to the hospital many times... Lost her to a drunk driver on 1-1-1994.

In 1984 my first truck was 1970 C10 Stepside. It was an auto parts delivery truck on its third motor, a 1968 GMC 6 cylinder. God I loved that truck and the hodge podge of parts that were in it. A little bit of everything. My girlfriend (who became my wife) wasn't too happy when on one rainy day all dressed up I hit a puddle which came thru the metal bucket that was holding my floor together..I can still hear her screaming.
Needless to say , she doesn't miss it as much as I do.

no pics but my dad had a turd brown 87 3/4 ton chevy 4x4 single cab. the bench seat was completely ate away on the drives side and the body was dented up. 350 with a 4 speed. after burning up a couple sbc engines, he sold it to the scrap yard. a lot of great memories bouncing around in that truck as a kid!
