What fuel tank to use with s-10 swap
I have a 98 std cab long bed frame came with a gas tank but it is damaged, SO do I just get another gas tank of that one, go with the blazer tank mounted in the rear behind the axle or do a fuel cell, from what I looked up just about all cost about the same so what is the benefit / problems with each one? what one do you all think is the best, worst, didnt work ect.

Re: What fuel tank to use with s-10 swap
putting a blazer tank behind the axle works perfectly, fits the frame great, not too tall so fits completely under the bed floor, and not to mention the rear position mount is nice since it frees up space for a dual exhaust and the link bar setup (if running one). Having a stock easily replaceable sending unit by stopping at any parts store is kinda nice too.

Go to the parts store and get a stock replacement tank for it. Mine I found had a rust hole in it, so I got a new replacement at the local AutoZone. Fits perfect and it allows me to have the stock S10 spare tire in the stock S10 location.

it does not explain alot about the tank are the 2 openings on the top the suction and return line openings? Do you have any pictures of your install of it? I kinda would like to do a plastic tank over a metal one, just cause I hate rust and painting haha.

I used a 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell mounted behind the rear end between the frame rails.
Very similar to this one....... http://www.jegs.com/i/RCI/821/2151AS/10002/-1

Re: What fuel tank to use with s-10 swap
I had an idea and wanted to see what you all think, what about if I use the factory tank, and make a circle plate where the sending unit goes and put my intake and return in that plate so if I ever wanted to go back to efi or anything i can just put and sending unit in it and call it good.
