Re: was a 194 ever installed in a production C10?
the only thing I have, Ron, is that, while my 1963 truck service manual lists only the 230 and 292, my '66 supplement lists the 194, 230, 250 and 292
digging into the '66 manual a little further, it says: "The in-line engines covered in this section are the 194 cu. in. L6 used in the P10 and G10, the 230 cu. in. L6 used in the G10 and P10, the 250 cu.in. L6 used in the 10-50 series (except G10) and the 292 cu. in. L6 used in the 10-60 series (except G10)"

Re: was a 194 ever installed in a production C10?
I have never seen or heard of the 194cid used in a truck. most base trucks that I have seen or heard about had the 230cid
The only vehicle I can remember that had a 194ci motor was a base model Chevy II in 1962 ( I think)

Re: was a 194 ever installed in a production C10?
the question is, back during those great days of being able to sit down with the salesman and go down an option list checking off items to get your vehicle custom built: could you have ordered a 194 in lieu of the other "regular production options"? what I'm guessing Ron is looking (or needs) for is an original options sticker indicating the truck (c-10 specifically) had a 194.

Re: was a 194 ever installed in a production C10?
someone that presumes knowledge of all things says that he has seen a 194 factory installation c10. doesn't show up anywhere though on the books other than what Larry says; i found the same info. it could have been a dealer option same as a 348 installation

Re: was a 194 ever installed in a production C10?
I've wondered about this myself.......I had a really rusty parts truck a while back that I bought from a very small chevy dealer (when there was such a thing) down the road, dealer said he sold it new, and took it in on a trade, maybe 20 years later. The truck was a complete and original '64, sat behind the dealer for prolly 15 years. I sold it and never checked engine #'s, but the truck had, I think, not one option......short step six stick, no radio, no heater. Only thing I know, it had the tiniest baby radiator I have ever seen, made me think it might have only been a 194.......shoulda checked. I know, probly doesn't help, and maybe they used that itty bitty radiator with the 230. But MAN, it was HALF the size of any other one I ever seen.
