81-87 grilles?? 2 part question.

First - Are the center grille sections the same for all 81-87 trucks/ blazers regardless of the headlight style...... dual or single headlights? I have a center grille section from my 82 K5 Blazer with dual head lights and want to use it on my 81 C-10 with single head lights. Are they simply that interchangable?

Second - What is the best way to prep and re-paint a grille that is already painted?

They are the same size and are interchangeable, but are cosmetically different.
