gonna look at a K5 for sale. lemme know what to look
I'm going to portland this this weekend. my wife is going to a conference and i saw this on CL soooo...
I might as well go check it out. ive kinda always wanted a Doo-Doo brown 70's K5, i dont know why i guess i gotta try everything once....  anyway what problem areas do i need to look for specific to K5's? there asking 2500. for it and they have had it for sale for a while best i can tell. |

Just being clean and complete like that makes it worth $2500 easy as long as its not rolling bondo. Check for rot everywhere you can. The truck looks nice, good luck with it.

That K5 looks very cleam from the pics. I wouls check the rear inner wheel wells, rockers, and tail pan area with tailgate open. These areas are all prone to rust.

Just take a fridge magnet to all the places str8axle55 just listed if it won't stick then its got heavy filler probably hiding rust.

From the pics it looks clean for the money.Especially an interior looking that good. Look for cracked frame at steering box and rust up under the floor where supports are. The step-down from the cargo area and rear pan are problem areas,too.
